Merlot grapes from Portteus vineyard's.
These create a creamy soft and wonderfully full bodied Merlot. The aroma is a true wonderful Merlot. The flavor is soft yet full bodied, with a light percentage of Malbec that helps this wine creatively dance on your pallet.


2009 Syrah
"Le Vignes De Marcoux"

This is our first vintage from this new vineyard. It is the second creation of the Saur’s at Red Willow vineyard. They have been nurturing this newer vineyard for the last six years.
We are very pleased with how well it has turned out. Beautiful ruby color with an excellent syrah aroma. Crisp black raspberry & smoky flavors with a long lasting creamy spiciness.

This is the creation of blending both Portteus and Red Willow's "Vignes De Marcoux" vineyards.
This blend is the mastermind of my friend Alan Phillips who helps out allot at the winery.
We were hanging out blending on day when he created this wonderful fruit forward lightly spiced flavor
 that he said could only be called "Perfection".

It is a lighter style Syrah with great fruit flavors.
Hints of black cherry, tumeric spice, oak and a creamy touch of vanilla on the finish.
